This 2-day IT Business Leader certification course focuses on the integration of IT organisations with other business areas through integratedITSM™. The course emphasises the importance of four areas of integratedITSM™, which include leadership, enablers, execution, and results and continual improvement. The program will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of how to develop and execute a strategic plan, aligning IT and business goals for optimal success.

Course Overview
Our IT Business Leader course covers three levels of IT business integration. Candidates will learn about the three IT/business model domains, which include governance, relationship, and value delivery. This section of the program emphasises the importance of effective governance, building strong relationships between IT and other business areas, and delivering value to customers.
Candidates will also learn about the basic components of an integrated IT/business model including strategic decisions, customer value, decision influencers, structural influencers, strategy influencers, and strategic-to-tactical and tactical-to-operational decision-making. Participants will learn how to align these components to create an effective integrated IT/business model that meets the needs of the organisation.

Organisational Culture and Performance
- Describe culture and leadership's role in shaping and managing culture.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the three types of culture in Westrum's culture typology and their characteristics
Leadership in Times of Change
- Define organisational change and organisational change management
- Demonstrate an understanding of leadership's role during times of change and identify key aspects of their role
- Explain authentic leadership and identify the characteristics of authentic leaders.
The integratedITSM™ Designation Scheme
This certification course is part of Professional Designations’ new designation scheme for integratedITSM™ and is required to achieve the following designations:
- integratedITSM™ Champion
Who should attend
This certification is suitable for anyone working in IT or in roles that interact with IT. Additionally, candidates whose organisations are seeking ISO/IEC 20000 certification will find this certification a compatible and valuable introduction to the standard.
Prerequisites
The integratedITSM™ System certification is a prerequisite for this certification.
Exam & Certification
The exam is offered through Professional Designations (PDC) and to obtain certification, attendees must write and pass the exam as follows. The exam is included in the course fee and will be provided on the first day of the course.
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Questions: 40 multiple-choice questions, closed book
- Pass mark: 65% (26 questions correct out of 40 questions)
- Supervised: Yes
